Podgorica, 26.05.2025. - Zapad Banka has signed a Cooperation Agreement with the Secretariat of the Competitiveness Council on the " ŽIG Ženski biznis" project. In line with its strategic commitment, Zapad Banka aims to enhance women's business activities and promote gender equality in Montenegro through this collaboration.
The agreement was signed by Lesia Vykhodtseva, Chairwoman of the Management Board of Zapad Banka; Vesna Kovačević, Member of the Management Board of Zapad Banka and Marija Šuković Head of the Secretariat of the Competitiveness Council.
Lesia Vykhodtseva emphasized that Zapad Banka recognizes the role of women in Montenegro's economic development and believes their involvement is crucial for sustainable growth and creating a more competitive and inclusive business environment. She expressed pride in the bank's participation in the "ŽIG Ženski biznis" initiative and its commitment to developing women's entrepreneurship through concrete measures and financial support.
Marija Šuković expressed gratitude to Zapad Banka for recognizing the value of the "ŽIG Ženski biznis" initiative, which is being implemented by the Secretariat of the Competitiveness Council with partners. She highlighted the importance of expanding the network supporting the project's implementation by adding another partner from the banking sector, considering that collaboration between women's businesses and credit institutions in securing financial resources has been identified as a key challenge for establishing and developing women's entrepreneurship.
Through its collaboration on the " ŽIG Ženski biznis" project, Zapad Banka will contribute to promoting women's entrepreneurship and provide continuous support in overcoming the challenges faced by women in business.
